Project Independence programs and services are established to meet the particular
needs of each North Hempstead community. For instance, in the Village of Great Neck Plaza,
where there are many apartment buildings, the needs of senior residents may differ in
some respects from those who live in New Hyde Park in single family homes.
We gather a lot of useful information about need from our survey, which you
